In this presentation to the Lemelson Foundation in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Stephanie Couch and I presented the vision for the Lemelson-MIT Program over the next 10 years :
“Pathways to Invention” available to all students at all ages
Shift in effort regarding our approach
Building Inventor Identity w/in Learners
Preparation programs for educators and administrators
Robust body of research from multiple sources
IvE as an accepted pedagogical approach
Objective Assessments and Outcome Measures: Attainment of the above will catalyze public funding, policy creation, private sector support.
