Period Pain Pops

In 2023, I guided three groups of high school students from Cambridge, MA, through the invention process, resulting in an innovative idea from an all-female group. Their concept involves creating an app catering to individuals with periods, utilizing unique symptoms to match with a culturally relevant database containing global herbs and their healing properties. The app then generates personalized, all-natural formulas for individualized monthly pops, which are subsequently manufactured and delivered.

By incorporating cultural sustainability into the very foundation of this project, we witness not only a groundbreaking solution for menstrual health but also a testament to the transformative power of inclusive design. The thoughtful consideration of diverse cultural aspects from the project's inception not only ensures its widespread applicability but also underscores the potential for positive societal impact when innovation aligns with cultural sensitivity.
